Buddy Biggs is the new boys basketball coach at Mason County

Mason County High School has chosen a new boys basketball coach for the Mason County School System. The choice is Buddy Biggs. He is a 22 year veteran of education and coaching. Coach Biggs has been head basketball coach at Ashland for the last 9 years. Before that Coach Biggs was the Head Coach of Pendleton Co. High School for five years where he won the 10th Regional championship in 2005. Coach Biggs was on the staff of Mason County Royals Coach Kelly Wells during the 2000-2001 basketball season.  He also coached at Henderson County High School and Beechwood High School.

Coach Buddy Biggs is a  graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education. He obtained a Masters Degree from Xavier University in Sports Management.

He graduated high school from Covington Catholic High School in Northern Kentucky.

2006 Louisville Courier Journal Kentucky Coach of the year

KABC region coach of the year 04,06, 2011

 Coach Biggs is married to former MCHS student Allison Walker and has two children – Jeston is a junior at Eastern Kentucky University and 18 month old Case is at home.
